As a Mentally Ill White Person™ I just want to put it out there to the media that me and my Mentally Ill White Friends will go our entire lives without even EVER IMAGINING shooting up a Bible Study of innocent black people. This is not about a poor misguided mentally ill white boy, this is about our pervasive culture of racism, anti blackness, this is about nine innocent lives being taken.

To blame this on mental illness excuses us all from the systemic racism we are all part of as white people. To blame this on mental illness is privilege, it’s an excuse, it’s saying “white mentally ill people don’t know any better”

We do know better.
